About Emerald

Craftsmanship that needed a showroom

Emerald Luxury Coaches builds elegant, high-end motorcoaches for clients across North America, and their reputation rests on exceptional craftsmanship, tailored interiors, and customer service to match. Their website carried none of that. A brand at the top of its market needed a site that could show the sophistication of the coaches and the life they represent.

By the Pixel took on the full engagement: brand strategy, research, design, development, and the words themselves.

The brief

A first impression worthy of the coaches

The goal was a high-impact first impression: channel Emerald's signature elegance so a visitor starts imagining life in one of these coaches before they've read a word. The aesthetic had to sit at the same level as the product it presents.

Underneath that, the site had to be practical to run. Emerald's team needed to manage coach listings, blog posts, and events themselves, so an elevated front end had to pair with a genuinely simple content workflow.

Research & architecture

Structured to tell Emerald's story

The old site was organized as a menu of pages, in an order nobody chose, and it told no story about the coaches. Stakeholder interviews, competitive research, and content audits established what the structure should do instead. The information architecture was rebuilt so visitors move naturally through Emerald's design philosophy, innovative features, and past coach builds, with each section planned as a chapter of the same story rather than a page in a menu.

Visual identity

Minimal palette, immersive photography

The coaches are the show, so the interface's whole job is to stay out of their way. The design language is restraint in service of the product: a sleek, minimalist palette, rich typography, and immersive photography that lets the coaches do the talking. Subtle animations and interactive transitions echo the handcrafted quality of the builds themselves, movement that feels engineered rather than decorated.

The copy was written to the same standard: brand-aligned and SEO-focused, balancing storytelling with the keywords that bring organic search traffic to a niche market.

The build

Fast, accessible, and easy to run

A luxury site that loads slowly isn't one, so performance got deliberate attention: visual assets carefully compressed, animations kept lightweight, and code streamlined for fast loads across devices and networks. The site stays fully responsive and meets accessibility standards, holding a consistent, visually rich experience on every screen size.

Behind it sits a custom CMS on the Nova framework, giving Emerald's team one clean interface to manage coach inventory, blog posts, and events, with lead capture wired into Mailchimp so interest turns into conversations.

Outcome

In the driver's seat of something extraordinary

The redesigned site brings the brand to life while quietly supporting the business behind it: streamlined workflows, more visible content, and a digital experience that invites visitors to picture themselves in the driver's seat.

See it live.
